Achievements
Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin has received numerous awards and accolades for revolutionising teaching and learning techniques in teaching law.
In 2017, she was awarded the Exemplary Meritorious Award Staff (EMAS), being the first law lecturer in Taylor’s Law School to be awarded with such award.
In 2018, she was awarded the Gold Award and Most Innovative Award from University of Malaya for redesigning the formative assessment for English Land Law. Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin was also awarded the "President's Award for Transformative Teaching and Learning” being the highest award conferred by the President of Taylor’s University. She is the pioneer in teaching law using AR, NLP and Gamification in Malaysia.
In 2019, she was the recipient of the Gold Award for teaching law using AR, NLP and also Gamification. In 2020, once again she won the EMAS Award from Taylor’s University for her new teaching innovation. Her innovative idea was shortlisted as the Top 12% of innovators around the globe and the Top 5 in the Learning Assessment category for the Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards 2020, known as the “Oscars of Education”.
In 2020, she was recognized as ‘MIA 70 Rising Personalities on LinkedIn in Malaysia in 2020’ by Marketing in Asia.
In 2021, she was recognized as one of the Top 50 Global Thought Leaders and Influencers on EdTech by Thinkers 360. In the same year, she became the recipient of ‘Taylor’s Distinguished E-Learning Educator Award’, the highest recognition for outstanding academic staff who excels in and promotes e-learning across the university and beyond to transform students’ learning experience and outcomes.
Her teaching and learning innovation, ‘LAWleyPop’ app, also received an award in the “Outstanding Mobile App” category in the IUCEL 2021. She received a Gold Medal for her teaching innovation using ClassPoint at the International E-Content Development in 2021.
Puteri Sofia Amirnuddin was also recognized as ‘150 Women B2B Thought Leaders You Should Follow in 2022’ by Thinkers360.
